La Primavera is situated on an all weather road just one
mile off mile 2 (out of San Ignacio) on the paved Western
Highway, so accessibility is no problem at all.
Many Mayan Ruins, including Xunantunich, Cahal Pech, Pilar and Caracol are within close proximity to the property and Tikal in Guatemala is an easy drive away. Shards of Mayan pottery have been found along the banks, giving evidence that these ancient people once inhabited this area.

San Ignacio Town is the central hub of commerce & tourism for the Western part of Belize and the second largest town in the Cayo District. This busy little town has a population of about 8,500 people. Many services are available in town, including banking, gas stations, grocery and hardware stores, post office, and much, much more!
The San Ignacio area is easily accessed by bus or private vehicle, it is about 22 miles from the nations capital, Belmopan and about 9 miles from the Guatemala border. A trip to Belize City takes about two hours via the paved Western Highway.

The San Ignacio area is noticeably cooler and less humid
than the coastline of Belize due to the elevation. The terrain
is hilly and the country side is covered in lush vegetation.
